ABOUT DAVE

For me, the line between work and play has become blurred. Doing what it takes to get the shot has become an athletic pursuit in itself. Swim through a rapid with a camera? Yup. Climb a tree to get a different perspective? I love climbing trees. Heavy packs, long approaches, steep skin tracks, no skin track? I’m all about it. I do my best work under pressure and love creative problem-solving. Fueled by a steady diet of wild game, black coffee, and copious amounts of cheese, I’m not very good at sitting still. When I’m not working, I recharge through physical activity: kayaking, mountain biking, snowboarding, or a quick dose of fitness in the gym. 

Today people are becoming more and more disconnected from the natural world around them, and more and more connected to their screens. The outdoors and wild places inherently provide transformative experiences for those who dare to venture out. I specialize in telling brand stories through Adventure and Lifestyle Photography, with an emphasis on human-powered adventures, environmental conservation, and people who work and create with their hands.
